Importance of better cables for car stereo sound

The main aspect for any audio setup is the stereo audio cable. It is not just because they hook regular audio components in the stereo, but they also are the major factors that can improve the car stereo sound. To understand the importance of audio cable for stereo sound, you should know the most important attribute of a line-level unbalance audio cable. The two main aspects are ‘shielding’ and ‘capacitance’. Heavy shielding cables protect audio signals from interfering with outer signals and LC-1 audio cable is one of the double-brand heavy shields. In this shield, a bare copper braid is directly laid over another to provide high coverage and easy connectivity to the ground. So by lessening the center conductor to 25 AWG and making the polyethylene dielectric, you can get capacitance down to as low as 12.2pF/ft. Capacitance is useful particularly for long run cable as it contributes to overcrowding of higher frequencies. The soft dielectric material and small center conductor can make the cable highly flexible

High fidelity car audio gives you a high performance and quality car audio sound system. Spending money on amps, other sound devices or subwoofers is futile, if you don’t fit the right cable in your car stereo system. Until today, there have been three car audio speaker cables available that are parallel conductors, twisted conductors and gamma twisted cables. The new trend in audio sound cable is of six conductors that give you high quality sound that can improve your stereo sound.

  1. as i think it will certainly improve the performance
  2. you also get ballanced and unballanced cabling - pro audio uses ballanced cabling - this prevents crosstalk - very important for cutting down on noise in the cable and improving S/N ratio - do a google search for ballanced audio cables to find out more =)
