The buttons on your steering wheel may be assigned to any of the following five Eclipse functions: volume up, volume down, mode, track up, and track down. So, do not be stuck with specific functions. With a select Alpine headunit, PC SWI-X converts the steering wheel radio buttons to dual multipurpose controls. This allows control of an aftermarket Audio/Video system while maintaining normal control and operation of the factory stereo.
After installation, the remote control of headunit can still be used. The SWI-X may be programmed as many times as desired.
