This 12? SR124-DVC component car stereo subwoofer features a cast aluminum basket that provides best rigidity while nearly eliminating the resonance. There is also a sophisticated venting system which keeps the inner working of the subwoofer cool and dispels heat from its voice coils. Polk has designed their subwoofers with the ABS plastic cones that offer lightweight resilience along with great responsiveness and the inverted arch shape of the subwoofer reduces the flexing that hampers clean bass output. The woofers are also designed with a soft butyl rubber surround that offers the cone plenty of room for excursion as it also maintains the shape over time.

The Polk Audio SR124-DVC car stereo subwoofer features a dual voice coil of 4 ohm that provides flexibility in the wiring. When you wire the voice coils in a parallel way with each other, the woofer would offer a mono load of 2 ohm and offers 8 ohm of load when wired in series with each other. You can also connect the coil to additional amplifier where each channel would see the load of 4 ohm. The subwoofer also features a dual ceramic magnet that offers high bass output along with high power handling capacity as they allow long linear excursion of the cone. The subwoofer is designed with a set of two Hex key terminals that have jumper leads. Both the terminals are located on the same side of the woofer to offer a clean, easy and professional looking set.
