Kicker KQ9 Signal Processor Equalizer Review

Well, you must have purchased some of the best car audio equipments for your car. But there is something important to know about the tuning system in order to get the great performance one always desire. Yes, Kicker is back with one of the useful sound determining features into its solid KQ 9 signal processor. This latest amplifier has a 9 band equalizers, sub-woofer level control, speaker and preamp level inputs, high/low pass crossovers. All this in one half din sized box which can be installed in the car?s dashboard. The KQ9 signal processor features a one set of RCA input and three set of RCA outputs. One can even adjust the 8 band equalizers and cut/boost up to 12 db at 125 to 16,000 Hz. The sub-woofer output features a separate sub base EQ which is variable fro 40 to 60 HZ and a control level from 0 up to +6 db.
While using a sub-woofer the high pass crossover eliminates the lower frequency from the full range speakers to get high efficiency while the low pass crossover controls the quality of the bass being transferred to the sub-woofers. The EQ Defeat Switch permits the operator to compare the non-equalized and equalized sound immediately. KQ9 comes in dual illumination colors and its dimension varies from 7-1/8 inches wide into 1 inch height into 5 inches in diameter. It also comes with a gold plated stereo RCA outputs for the subwoofer, front and rear. It also features a rotary fader control which allows fading between the rear and the front RCA outputs. This KQ9 signal processor does not have an in built amplifier and so it must be used in combination with external amplifiers. Depending upon the wiring configuration and the amplifier selection one can connect more than one external amplifier?s.
