Kenwood has built their new KAC-8103D car stereo amplifier from the ground up in order to power your subwoofers with excellent sound quality. The rugged cast aluminum chassis of the subwoofer include an efficient mono power amplifier that would supply up to 500 watts of RMS without putting any strain on the electrical system of your vehicle. The Kenwood KAC-8103D features an in built low pass filter that adjusts the output of the amplifier so that you receive the best sound quality from your box combo or subwoofer. There is also a subsonic filter that eliminates the inaudible and ultra low bass which can detract from the performance of your subwoofer. The Kenwood KAC-8103D amplifier allows you to dial up to 18 dB of bass if you need to increase your sound.

The Kenwood KAC-8103D amplifier is a CEA-2006 compliant which is a new system of measuring and testing methods for mobile audio amplifiers. This process maintains a uniform method to determine the RMS power output of the amplifier and the signal to noise ratio. The Kenwood amplifier is also designed with specific features to supply power to your subwoofers while maintaining a range between 5 to 200 Hz. This amplifier being a mono power amplifier cannot be used to power a full range of speakers. The mono amplifier has the capacity to handle load impedance of nearly 2 ohms.

The Kenwood KAC-8103D mono amplifier features a pair of two gold plated speaker terminals to offer you an easy parallel subwoofer connection. The amplifier also has an in built 24 dB octave low pass filter which is always variable ranging from 50-200 Hz. The bass boost of the amplifier is adjustable from 0 to 18 dB at 40Hz. The amplifier also features a protection circuit which would turn off the amplifier in case of loss of ground of amplifier or head unit.
