The Kenwood Excelon DPX 701 Media Controller is mainly recommended for use in cars and other private vehicles. The unit falls under the double - DIN – in-dash unit. The system has multitude features in it. The unit has radio, CD, MP3 player, Digital player and above all a stylish look. The Sound Output Mode is in the stereo mode and the unit comes with equalizer and all other audio controllers. The unit has a multi color display and the built in display is fluorescent.

Upsides

This is one product which has more features in it than the other toys in the market. The double din stereo comes with all the features one will ever possibly need. The looks are also good. The sound is superb and is of top quality. The head unit can also control all the functions in an I-pod is perfectly compatible with it. The unit also comes with a voice feature which is really useful when you are not in a position to look at the display.

Downsides

One of the minor defects the unit has is that it has only 6 FM station presets. Therefore, one cannot really listen to a variety of music channels. Another thing is that the unit lacks a bit in the area of display options. Another drawback of the product is that, the USB port is located at the back. The product is not compatible with Sirius radio. The sound quality is not as good as that of Alpine. Therefore, one should study the pros and cons carefully before going in for a buy.
