The strong in built amplifier of the unit sends plenty of power to your sound system so that you can enjoy the sonic performance which would knock out most of the factory systems. The three adjustable EQ bands and nine presets would ensure that you are able to adjust the sound according to the acoustics of your car.

The JVC KW-XG500 car stereo receiver is designed to play WMA and MP3 files that have been burned to CD-RW and CD-R discs. To offer you a high quality audio performance JVC has designed this unit with 24 bit audio digital to analog converter. There is also a front panel stereo mini jack which lets an easy connection to any of your portable audio devices. You can connect a portable MP3, MD or cassette player and listen to the songs from the speakers of your car. You can also adjust the volume of the front panel auxiliary so the level is steady as you change from the input.

Apart from the user adjustable preset the JVC KW-XG500 car receiver includes five preset EQ curves which are Jazz, Hip Hop, Pops, Classic and Rock. These user presets can be adjusted and stored in the memory of the unit. The background display of the unit can be changed using two screen savers and five meter styles. You can also turn off the spectrum analyzer so only the icons and alphanumeric characters would appear.

When you use the JVC KW-XG500 car receiver with your factory speakers the amplifier gain control would lessen the amount of power being sent to the speakers. When you set the amplifier gain control to low, the volume control would range from minimum 0 to maximum 30.
