The car cassette receiver being designed with an in built amplifier that provide 19 watts or RMS per 50 peaks offers the strength which brings new clarity and power to all your favorite recordings.

The custom equalizer of the JVC KS-FX490 cassette receiver provides the stone shaping finesse of a six preset tone curves which you can easily adjust to house different entertainment sources. The Dolby B noise reduction feature of the unit reduces the tape hiss on the B encoded tapes so you would hear pure quality music. The smooth touch full logic tape mechanism includes music search that helps in quickly finding any tunes and there is a blank skip to keep your music rolling. The multi music scan features of the JVC KS-FX490 car receiver lets you skip nearly nine tracks backward or forward. You can set the blank skip to skip the blank sections in the tape. When you have activated the blank skip feature, the unit will automatically skip when it has sensed a blank space.

The JVC KS-FX490 car receiver equipped with the J-Link CD changer control system of JVC. The CH-X series of the JVC can be directly controlled. Apart from this, the unit can also control MP3 matching changers like CH-X 1500. The basic disc navigation feature of the unit includes changer controls like direct disc access, skip ten tracks, track intro scan, disc intro scan, disc repeat, track repeat, all disc random and disc random. The display will automatically show encoded CD text information that is recorded on a disc when you play the CD text disc.
