Now here’s an example of an excellent combination of affordability and functionality that could not possibly be beaten by any standard. Introducing the JVC KD-HDR30 that is just recently released, this in-dash receiver features a built-in HD Radio at a low, affordable cost of under $200. You may be thinking, that’s not as affordable as some of the other ones, but in perspective I argue that it is because you do not need any additional external add-on accessories.

It is a JVC-made head unit and JVC audio products boast excellence in quality and dependability. In addition, the unit features JVC?s classic metallic rotary control with easy-touch selection pads in both blue and red button illumination. The display is still unimpressively outdated because of its dot-matrix display. But that concern will soon be overshadowed by the unit’s ability to receive HD (Hybrid Digital) audio from FM transmissions. This will give users up to three additional HD station s per strong-signal FM frequency. In addition, users will experience a whole new improved audio fidelity that had never been experienced through radio transmission. Imagine purely surround sound experience when listening to symphonies or immerse yourself in a simulated concert when listening to your favorite rock station!

The JVC KD HDR30 is also capable of, with additional accessories, receiving Satellite Radio (XM or Sirius), Bluetooth, CD changer, and even iPod sources. These options on top of the built-in HD capabilities give the KD-HDR30 an appeal that will attract any media-savvy consumer. The unit will not technically be outdated for many years as it is indeed compatible with Satellite and Bluetooth technology accessories. It even features a front-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input that will allow the use of any electronics with a 3.5mm audio output such as laptops, MP3 players, and portable DVD players. This single DIN receiver also features 3 sets of 2-volt RCA preamp outputs which gives the unit the ability to expand into the later addition of any sound system you wish to add into your vehicle.

For the price, JVC made an outstanding product with the release of the KD-HDR30. It does feature now-standard receiver features such as MOSFET power with 50 watts max with 22 watts RMS per channel. However, with a 7-band parametric equalizer and a plethora of expandability options, JVC KD-HDR30 will be sure to turn heads this year.
