JVC KD-HDR1 HD Radio Review

The most important thing that a person is worried about while making a buy is the sound quality of the HD radio. The sound quality is great, though it is not like the quality of a CD. The major difference is that the dynamic range is large. The bass and treble is well defined. After tuning, it takes a couple of seconds to switch on to HD. The song or artist information is usually transmitted in a HD radio station, though it depends on the station that is transmitting.
The basic functionality of the radio is very simple. The sound quality is also comparatively pretty good. However, there are some features that are more complicated like changing stations or tracks. For using these features, a number of buttons should be pressed and this act becomes difficult while driving. Though there are a number of buttons, the large size makes for slightly comfortable usage. The knob of the volume button is large, but is in a depression. Due to this reason, it is difficult to grab them and press they key. The location of seek buttons are conveniently placed towards left of volume control and they are user-friendly. The button of station preset also works as function buttons and so the mode button should be hit before the number. Doing this is a bit difficult while driving. The sound processing mode of this unit is known as SRS Circle Surrounds Auto and this can be known from the SRS 3D effects of a computer.

it seems that it isn't that easy to use, so that's a disadvantage...only worth if it's considerably cheaper.
