The 8 inch GTO804 subwoofer from JBL includes a polypropylene cone along with a large rubber surround that lets plenty of cone excursions although not losing control over the sounds. There is also a heavy duty dust cap which reinforces the cone to maintain lows that would kick off without any distortion. The JBL GTO804 Grand Touring Series of component car stereo subwoofers is designed with a polypropylene woofer cone material along with a heavy duty molded dust cap for a better performance. The subwoofers are also designed with a Hi-roll rubber surround in order to offer exceptional cone edge suspension and long throw linearity with stability and control at the excursion limits. The progressive spider of the JBL Grand Touring Series component subwoofer provides a better control during the excursion limits and also reduces the woofer distortion. The component subwoofers are also designed with a new proprietary frame along with a new cone design and have a unique in board motor structure that allows the subwoofer to be in a full inch shallower than the similar sized models. The subwoofer is designed with binding post terminals that can support any bare wire, spade lugs, pin connectors and single banana plugs.
