Eclipse CD-3200 Car Stereo CD Player is a 2008 Model with Built-in Bluetooth and iPod Connection through USB.

Over the last 4 years, Eclipse by Fujitsu Ten has produced outstanding car audio components. There are a lot of great products released by more popular brands this year, but Eclipse has not been outdone. Introducing one of the first Eclipse units to be released, please welcome the Eclipse CD3200 in-dash receiver.

This unit is virtually golden in terms of its features in contrast to its price. For a unit this versatile, it should probably be about $120 more than what it?s currently being sold ($230 – $290). Let?s go over some of its great feature. First, the unit features built-in Bluetooth. This is an excellent feature to have, especially when more and more states are passing laws against the use of cell phones without headsets on the road. It has a built-in microphone and is also capable of displaying caller ID on its front panel display. You could also stream audio

This excellent in-dash receiver also has great expandability potentials. It is both Satellite and HD Radio Ready. Consumers could add any Satellite Radio (XM or Sirius) components or HD Radio easily with its built-in Eclipse expandable port. The head-unit also has a built-in USB port that is fully capable of controlling and navigating an iPod. In addition, if you?re thinking about adding an entire system, don?t fear because the receiver is equipped with 3 RCA preamp 5-volt outputs, allowing you to connect both front and rear channels as well as a subwoofer channel.

If you?re worried about how it looks, do not fear because users will have the option of changing its button illumination colors up to 6 different color themes, giving the unit the ability to blend in seamlessly into the dashboard. It does not have the two-rotary dial stereo look and for the most part looks pretty modern.

The buttons are easy to see, especially the Bluetooth calling/hang-up function. It?s well lit and is distinguished from the rest of the buttons, giving you a safe access to your controls while you are driving.

The only thing lacking on this unit is the display. Though it?s great that the front panel does not have the older beveled-in display and is instead a flush design, the fact that the screen is simply a multi-line dot matrix display does not impress, especially when the market is moving into compact LCD screens.

Despite the minor design flaw, the Eclipse CD3200 is a great unit to have. It?s truly a multi media and multi source receiver that has great options for expansion. With the capability of playing MP3 and WMA file formats, expect this head unit to be an affordable top choice in the car audio industry for years to come.
