The genre of car audio products has witnessed yet another scintillating boom, called JL audio sub-woofer. JL stands for Jonathan Lewis that is an acclaimed name in the field of car audio products. The cones of the sub-woofer are polypropylene fabricated and incorporated with a mineral base. The system is designed to handle 75-300 Watts of power. Also, the sensitivity of the sub-woofers is about 87dB. The fact that the Power operation is calibrated on RMS scale (Root Mean Square) gives the thumping characteristic of the sound an added specialty. The woofer surround has been made out of nitrile-butylene rubber (NBR).
