Default Stereo thief broke car window

A MAN smashed a car window and stole a stereo.

Colin Steven Taylor, 31 of Longfellow Court, Mytholmroyd, admitted theft at Calderdale Magis-trates Court.

Andy Wills, prosecuting, said the owner of the Kia had parked at Balmoral Place, Halifax, at 8.10am and left it there until she finished work.

He said: "She came back to her car and found it had been broken into and the stereo had been stolen.

"Police found samples of blood on the window that connected Taylor."

Maggie Wood, for Taylor, said he had been on methadone but had missed his prescription. She said it was an isolated incident.

Taylor was given an 18-month community order with supervision and ordered to pay £200 compensation and £60 costs.

I hardly see how this is news worthy. There are probably hundreds of instances each day where stereo systems are stolen. However, who would be stupid enough to use their hands without something to protect them? Obviously your hand is going to bleed, its glass!

Was the victim a famous person that I have never heard of? So many attempted thefts occur in the USA that overly sensitive car alarms go off all the time!

I know and isn't it funny how wheneve a car alarm goes off, no one is thinking, "oh no! A car is getting stolen!" instead they are thinking, "turn that thing off!"
