So I recently graduated from college and I landed my first job (1 day after my graduation) in the financial/investment banking sector. I currently drive a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon V6. I've had this car almost since new. It got me through college, but frankly I am sick of it; it gets poor mileage considering the displacement and on top of that it has poor performance for it's displacement and 6 cylinder configuration.
So anyway I'm looking for a used car that doesn't go above the $25k mark. I realize it's difficult to get suggestions on this as used car prices can vary greatly. I am looking mainly a performance coupes, not sports cars perse, but I will consider 4 door GT cars too. I am sort of nervous about this as this is the first time that I will be paying for my own car and this chance may not come again for a great deal of time. Ok I am a bit more than nervous, this is a downright obsession, every day I get home from work I spend a lot of time browsing reviews/road tests/track tests, anything I can get my hands on. I haven't yet gotten to the go out and see used cars/test drive used cars stage as I want to narrow down the list a bit. I have this list I made awhile ago of what I thought I could afford in used car form: -BMW M3 E46 -Infinity G35 Coupe -Nissan 350Z -Pontiac GTO -Subaru WRX STI -Mitsubishi EVO VIII Any suggestions or opinions on which one would be the better option will be greatly appreciated. Also please add any candidates that I may have missed. |

All the cars you have listed are nice. I would be careful when looking at both the Subaru WRX STI and Mitsubishi EVO. Both vehicles attract a lot of young owners that like to race them. Make sure you have the turbo and engine checked before buying.
Good luck! |

I would always suggest that any individual looking for a car, to go out and buy a Honda Accord. Honda has greatly improved themselves over the years and their quality and luxerious additions have made them a must own. These days they can get close to 35 MPG without sacrificing your personal needs and wants.

BMW M3!!! they are ace, my xe's dad used to have an M5, if you can afford it then get one of them - they are absolutely flying machines, plus they arent too 'sporty' - they dont look like they are trying to be a sports car.
