Old school RF PA-1 HD EQ

I am looking at the purchase of an EQ to boost my RCA output from a 2volt to at least a 6 to 8 volt output on my head unit and i saw this old school RF PA-1 HD EQ for sale. Is there anyone out there that has any knowledge of this EQ and what it can or will do to increase my RCA output. also i am not intent on this paticular EQ so if there are any suggestions out there on a certain brand i am all ears. I just don't have alot of money to invest in this and this EQ is so far going for a pretty descent $ amt. any help or advise will be greatly appreciated.
