dB drag competitions
dB drag competitions are a relatively new phenomenon. It is an auto sound competition wherein each participant tries to play his or her stereo at the highest sound level. The participants compete against each other to see who can play the loudest on the car stereo system. The car stereo system which is the loudest wins the competition.
It is a sport that is attracting great attention among car stereo enthusiasts. So it is being formalized to be conducted in a planned and methodical manner. There is a body known as the dB Drag Racing Association [dDRA] that organizes, conducts and monitors these competitions. They have created a set of rules and regulations that the participants must adhere to. They are constantly working to make the rules comprehensive and unambiguous. All competitions have to ensure that the participants follow the rules. Obviously, these competitions tend to be loud and noisy with all kinds of music blaring loudly from the stereo systems of the participants.
