PAC SWI-JACK

PAC SWI-JACKPAC SWI-JACK is universal that you only need one SKU to cover over 95% of the vehicles made from 1986 to current. The SWI-JACK allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. Works with Alpine’s OEM Steering Remote Ready radios. The SWI-JACK also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles. The PAC SWI-JACK features just cannot be beat.

You should never be stuck with a vehicle specific type interface. This range of PC SWI-JACK has non-volatile memory, which keeps all programming in memory even when the vehicle battery gets disconnected. The SWI-JACK controls Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Clarion and Blaupunkt radios with a wired remote input. The buttons on your steering wheel may be assigned to any of the following five Eclipse functions: volume up, volume down, mode, track up, and track down. Also, it has mute, Preset Up, Preset Down and Band.

The SWI-JACK covers a range of vehicles i.e., Ford, GM or Chrysler, Dodge, Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, GMC, Harley Davidson, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Volkswagen and Toyota.

PAC SWI-JACK sends different commands to compatible head units via wires; so bright that sunlight does not affect operation, like it does with infrared-based interfaces. Unlike the SWI-X, the SWI-ECL2 is not affected by bright sunlight. PAC SWI interface allows you to use the steering wheel controls in a wide variety of vehicles to command your new Pioneer or Sony radio.

If you want to install a Pioneer or Sony stereo in your vehicle, but you hate to give up the convenience of your factory steering wheel radio controls? This interface allows you to use the steering wheel controls in a wide variety of vehicles to command your new Pioneer or Sony radio.

Some vehicles have a separate wire for each of the steering wheel buttons. Use the resistor kit for steering wheel push buttons that do not already have a resistor network connected to them. The resistor kit includes a range from 47 Ohms (yellow, violet, black) to 5100 Ohms (green, brown, red).

Installation of PAC SWI-JACK is straightforward. Just connect a few wires, only 3 wires in many cars. The direct connection to the stereo means there’s no need for an infrared emitter, allowing the SWI-PS to function even in bright sunlight. Step-by-step LED confirmation makes programming easy. Once connected, the PAC SWI-JACK failsafe memory would learn up to 9 stereo functions, retaining them even though battery power is interrupted. It has dimensions 3-5/84″W x 1″H x 1-9/16″D. Warranty: 1 year.
