About Us

Car Stereo Mall and its staff have been involved in the car stereo industry for many years. In previous years, the staff was dedicated to offering an online car stereo store, but realized that the Internet lacks a trustworthy source of information about car stereos and their components. This website is dedicated to bringing you, the user, all the information you need to make the right buying decision and other information regarding your car stereo.

Thanks,

I have been involved in car audio since the late 1980’s. Ever since my first Pioneer tape deck and Jensen 6X9’s I’ve been hooked. As the years progressed, along with my budget, I have been relentlessly pursuing the hobby. I was always the guy in my group of friends who did the installs and was always hanging around the shops and parking lots when there was loud music.
In those days we learned a lot by trial and error. We blew up a lot of equipment, and many of our projects turned into disasters. There was and still is a lot of urban myths and just plain ignorance surrounding the hobby, and we had to learn many things the hard way.
I took a few semesters of College level electronics and physics, and later went to the Installer Institute in Holly Hill (Daytona) Florida and became MECP certified in 1996. From there I did worked in the industry for a year or so, but soon got out. I found that the pay was rather poor at the time, and in my area, most of the work was remote starters and phone installs anyway (rather a stretch from the exciting stuff I had imagined!).
Though I have not been in the industry professionally in some time, I have consistently been involved as an avid hobbyist. I still do the installs for family and friends in my circles, and do a lot of reading to keep up with the industry as a whole and expand my knowledge. Right now, I have the most impressive setup I’ve ever owned, and am still in the process of adding more.

I have been in the Car Stereo industry for almost 15 years. I opened my first car audio customization store back in 1994 and recently had other opportunities so had to sell my first love and leave the retail side. Now days I write reviews about car audio, help beginners who need help setting up their own Car Audio store in a local market and etc?
